Immaginate di volervi fare un regalo. Immaginate di uscire di casa e trovare questa meraviglia tutta per voi: una nuova fiat 500 D ‘Trasformabile’. Li, solo per voi, come se fosse appena uscita dal concessionario della Fiat e come se fossimo tornati cinquant’anni addietro…..

 

Si tratta di una nuova fiat 500 D del 1964 che ha appena subito un restauro completo, direi alla perfezione. Non ci credete? Assieme alla macchina tutte le foto delle varie fasi del restauro svolto, per documentare la precisione maniacale con cui è stato eseguito.

Lo specialista ha intrapreso un restauro ripartendo da zero.  L’autovettura è stata completamente smontata, si è proceduto alla sabbiatura e rifacimento dei fondi, ai trattamenti della carrozzeria prima della verniciatura e poi l’utilizzo di un bellissimo azzurro. Poi si è proceduto a  rimontare, pezzo per pezzo , ogni parte di questa nuova Fiat 500. Ove possibile si sono mantenuti i componenti originali e revisionati, altrimenti, si è provveduto a sostituire le varie parti, con ricambi originali o ricostruiti da aziende specializzate del settore.
La vettura sembra una fiat 500 che appena lasciato la fabbrica nel ormai lontano, 1964.

E ‘probabilmente uno degli esempi più belli in Europa e il prezzo richiesto è estremamente competitivo. £ 15,495 pari a 21.700 €.

Fiat 500D ‘Trasformabile’ Classic – 1964  LHD  Restored & Stunning! £15,495

This highly desirable ‘D’ model (the most sort after & collectable model in the classic Nuova 500 range) has the very rare ‘suicide doors’, a full length convertible sunshine roof – ‘trasformabile’, ‘round speedo’ & original matching numbers engine – In fact it has it all! It’s an original 1964 LHD example which has just undergone a complete body restoration & internal refurbishment to bring it up to a superb standard. Being sold on behalf of the specialist restorer owner & the process & key stages were photographed, these have been colour printed for the history file which accompanies the vehicle. The specialist embarked on a full pain staking body restoration commencing early 2015. So in brief: Complete strip to bare metal shell, sandblasted the shell, the floors were replaced along with the front & rear wings, battery tray & nose cone. The car was fully painted whilst stripped to bare shell (Inside & out) at this time in the period shade of Fiat light blue that you see today.  In fact it looks as good underneath as it does on the top, as the underside was also fully painted to match the body colour. The handbrake cable was changed, all pedals overhauled the petrol tank was fully refurbished and flushed. The interior was also fully and expertly retrimmed in red piped cream along with the complete door card set & all interior trim was renewed, including the long sunroof & roof frame, all other items of interior trim were refurbished or replaced. The lights were replaced as required & the correct aluminium surrounds were machine polished, all rubber items were replaced including the door seals & side window seals, a new windscreen fitted, new bushes,  new struts, refurbished suspension system, complete brake system replacement, new exhaust & engine & gear box service. The bumpers & brackets were replaced, new wing mirror fitted, fully shot blasted & refurbished original Fiat steel wheels, new matching tyres with white wall bands fitted to finish the period correct look! We have just completed the vehicles first UK MOT & can assist to UK register it in the new owners name so they can be the first UK registered keeper if required. This truly impressive example is just showing 46,000 miles from & only around 100 miles since the restoration! Since being in our possession, we have been meticulous in our further preparation prior to offering this exception example to the market by undertaking the following works: Fitted the correct D engine decal set, spare tyre strap, boot seal, engine rubber seal, exhaust back shield, heat shield pad, adjusted the steering geometry, supplied a fresh MOT and conducted a multipoint check, replaced the fuel with £23 of new super unleaded, tuned the carbs, set the timing & adjusted the brakes. Fitted a new boot mat & 500 Key ring, ACI club sticker, front & rear period Italian number plate holders, it even has fitted a period luggage rack & period picnic hamper. The car is on the button & ready to go & show or just enjoy… The vehicle comes with a history file & contains: Original log book, Original Fresh current UK MOT, UK NOVA certificate, Specialist parts invoices from Ricambio International Ltd, Copious restoration photos all printed in colour,  club details… The car looks pretty much as new & not dissimilar to when it originally left the factory in 1964. It’s probably one of the prettiest examples in Europe for the price asked. This is a superb investment and has only driven less than 100 miles since its restoration & hence this cheeky chappy can now get UK registered, has a fresh MOT & is being offered for sale for the first time on our shores. Fiat baby blue paintwork with a new red & cream interior, including matching door cards & a new full length convertible sunshine roof, with matching strap to hold back & associated clips.
